Volare a Maiorca con Albastar

5 March, 2019 marked an important day in which, in front of authorities, journalists and business partners, Albastar, the Spanish airline company, christened its second Boeing 737-800 Next Generation to join the fleet.
The Boeing 737-800, registration number EC-MUB, has been given the name “Pino D’Urso – Here we fly again” to celebrate and honour the memory of the founder of Albastar, without whom the company would never have got off the ground.
Thanks to the entry of this new aircraft, Albastar’s present commercial fleet consists of: 4 Boeing 737-800s (fitted with 189 seats in a single class) and 2 Boeing 737-400s (fitted with 170 seats in a single class). A fifth Boeing 737-800 NG, will join the fleet at the beginning of the 2019-2010 winter season, in line with the development plan that foresees the total renewal of the fleet.

On the runway, the ceremony was presided by Mons. Giulio Dellavite, Secretary General of the Bishop’s Curia of Bergamo and the choice of Milan Bergamo Airport for the official christening is no coincidence, in fact, the airport became Albastar’s second operating base in terms of volume and traffic generated throughout the year with two B737-800s.
